Day 1 – Monday: Depart for Nepal

Begin your journey to the Himalayas with your international flight to Kathmandu.


Day 2 – Tuesday: Arrive in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal — the “Roof of the World.” Arrive in Kathmandu and receive a traditional flower garland greeting before transfer to your hotel. Enjoy time to rest and acclimate beneath the towering Himalayan peaks.

Day 3 – Wednesday: Swayambhunath, Durbar Square & Boudhanath

Visit the sacred hilltop stupa of Swayambhunath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site crowned with fluttering prayer flags and the iconic Buddha eyes overlooking the valley. Continue to Durbar Square, home to Hanuman Dhoka Palace and the living goddess Kumari.

Enjoy a MoMo cooking demonstration and lunch before visiting the massive Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Participate in a prayer ceremony and receive blessings from a Lama. Evening orientation meeting and welcome dinner.

Day 4 – Thursday: Bhaktapur & Pashupatinath

Optional early morning Mount Everest flightseeing experience. Later, travel to medieval Bhaktapur, the “City of Devotees,” famed for Nyatapola Temple, the Golden Gate, and the Palace of Fifty-Five Windows.

Visit the sacred Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati River, where cremation rituals and ancient traditions continue today. Evening lecture and personal conversation with a Nepalese woman mountaineer who has summited Mount Everest.

Day 5 – Friday: Chitwan National Park Safari

Fly to Bharatpur and transfer to your jungle resort near Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Embark on a thrilling jungle safari in search of rhinos, deer, crocodiles, and exotic birdlife. Evening wildlife presentation by a senior naturalist.

Day 10 – Wednesday: Fly to Paro & Thimphu

Day 11 – Thursday: Discover Thimphu

Day 12 – Friday: Memorial Chorten & Big Buddha
