DAY 1 – Arrival in Ankara

Evening flight to Ankara. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

DAY 2 – Gordion Tour (B/L)

08:00: Meet your guide at the hotel and depart for Polatlı (Yassıhöyük) to visit Gordion, the ancient capital of Phrygia.
Highlights include:

  • Gordion Ruins & City Walls: Explore the remains of the Phrygian capital, including the Royal Palace.

  • Tumulus of King Midas: The 53-meter-high tomb of King Midas, the second largest of its kind in the world.

  • Archaeological Museum: See artifacts from the Bronze Age, Hellenistic Era, Roman times, and Greek ceramics.

  • Legend of King Midas: Learn about the “golden touch” legend and Alexander the Great’s famous knot.

Lunch is included. Return to Ankara for overnight stay.

DAY 3 – Ankara & Hattusas, Transfer to Cappadocia (B/L)

Morning in Ankara:

  • Anıtkabir: Visit the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Turkish Republic, along with the National War Museum.

  • Museum of Anatolian Civilizations: Explore a historic caravanserai displaying artifacts spanning 7,500 years, including the world’s most extensive Hittite collection.

Afternoon: Drive to Boğazköy Hattusas, the capital of the Hittites.
Highlights include:

  • Grand Temple, Lion’s Gate, Tunnel & King’s Gate

  • Yazılıkaya Open-Air Temple: 3 km from Hattusas, featuring carvings between natural rock formations.

Continue driving to Cappadocia for overnight stay.

DAY 4 – Cappadocia Fairy Chimneys Tour (B/L)

09:30: Full-day tour of Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes.
Highlights include:

  • Devrent Valley: Explore whimsical fairy chimneys with unique shapes.

  • Love Valley: Famous for the three-headed fairy chimneys.

  • Avanos: Visit a traditional pottery workshop using Red River clay, a craft dating back 5,000 years.

  • Uçhisar: The highest peak in Cappadocia with panoramic views over the region and Mount Erciyes.

Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 5 – Rose Valley & Mazıköy Underground City Tour (B/L)

09:30: Full-day tour of South Cappadocia.
Highlights include:

  • Kızılçukur (Red Valley): Stunning rock formations and hidden rock-cut churches.

  • Çavuşin Village: One of the oldest settlements, featuring St. John the Baptist Church.

  • Mazıköy Underground City: One of Cappadocia’s largest subterranean cities with eight floors (partial access).

  • Pigeon Houses: Iconic dovecotes carved into the rocks.

Evening: Transfer to the airport for your flight to Istanbul. End of tour services.
