Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Cappadocia

Dinner Included

Meet & greet at Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport or Göreme Bus Station, followed by a transfer to your hotel in Avanos.

After check-in, you will visit the horses that will accompany you throughout the journey — a perfect introduction to the days ahead.

Enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 – Avanos – Sarihidir – Göreme Open-Air Museum

Your first riding day begins with a scenic ride to Sarihidir, a charming riverside village. Enjoy a tea break at a local café along the Red River (Kızılırmak).

Continue riding to Sariha for lunch inside a beautifully preserved 13th-century Seljuk caravanserai.

In the afternoon, ride through Cappadocia’s most iconic landscapes:

• Zelve Valley

• Paşabağı (Monks Valley)

• Çavuşin Village

After returning the horses for the evening, visit the Göreme Open-Air Museum, home to some of the best-preserved frescoed rock-cut churches from the Roman and early Christian periods.

Day 3 – Çavuşin – White Valley – Ayvali

Ride from Çavuşin to Uçhisar through the tranquil White Valley, surrounded by soft volcanic formations.

Lunch is served beneath the impressive Uçhisar Rock Fortress. Afterward, continue riding through the villages of Kavak and Bahçeli, followed by a short tea break.

Arrive in Ayvali, a peaceful village set among lush apricot orchards. Stay in a charming historic hotel featuring a 12th-century church carved into the rock.

Later, visit a local carpet workshop to learn about ancient Anatolian weaving traditions.

Day 4 – Ayvali – Damsa Dam Lake – Mustafapaşa

After breakfast, ride toward Damsa Dam Lake, passing through Mustafapaşa, a beautifully preserved former Greek village with elegant stone houses.

Lunch is served by the lakeside. In warm weather, you may even enjoy a refreshing swim with the horses — a truly unforgettable experience.

Return to Ayvali via a different route, riding across a high plateau that offers panoramic views of Cappadocia from a unique perspective.

Day 5 – Ayvali – İbrahimpaşa – Ortahisar – Red & Rose Valleys

Ride to İbrahimpaşa, known for its exquisite Greek-era architecture, then continue to Ortahisar.

Lunch is enjoyed in Ortahisar, where adventurous guests may climb to the top of the Ortahisar Rock Castle for stunning views.

In the afternoon, enjoy a long, relaxing ride through the Red and Rose Valleys, famous for their changing colors and dramatic rock formations, before returning to Avanos.

Day 6 – Avanos – Özkonak Underground City – Ziyaret Dağı

After breakfast, ride to Özkonak Underground City, one of the largest and most fascinating subterranean settlements in Cappadocia.

Continue your ride over Ziyaret Dağı (Ziyaret Mountain) before returning to Avanos.

Day 7 – Departure from Cappadocia
